1st Week of the NFL Season is in the books & of course some key players went down.. Don’t panic I have the Top 5 Players you should target this week that will turn your craphole of a team into a Title Contender!
- Gus Edwards BAL – JK Dobbins is done for the year with his Achilles, but don’t worry because Gus the Bus Edwards is only Rostered in 21% in ESPN Leagues. I know Hill stole two touchdowns in Week 1 but Gus has always been their number two back and they trust him more than Hill. He is a powerful back that will steal goal line touchdowns from Lamar and Harbaugh loves those 2 pt Conversions!
- Romeo Doubs GB – Doubs showed up and the Preseason hype was real. Love targeted Doubs 5 times with two of his catches inside the 10 yard line for touchdowns! Romeo will see a rise in targets after that performance gaining the trust in the new face of Green Bay & might become the new number 1 even with Watson coming back! Also a great plug in play if you have Diontae Johnson on your team(Rostered in 19.2% of ESPN leagues)
- Kyren Williams LAR – In all of my drafts, i avoided Cam Akers like the plague. I was not willing to pay a 4th, 5th, or even a 6th round pick for him and know you all know why. Williams had 15 rushes for 52 yards & two touchdowns (both being inside the 10 yard line) poaching key touches away from Akers & I believe that soon Williams will start taking majority of the snaps here soon! (Rostered in 10.3% of ESPN Leagues)
- Jordan Love GB – Jordan Love came to play in Week 1! Going 15-27 with 245 yards & 3 Passing Touchdowns, that is a true QB 1 performance! I believe he is this year’s Geno Smith and will be better! His receiving core is really underrated with Watson coming back, Doubs turning heads, & the rookie tight end making some big catches! If you had Rodgers, Love will be a much needed Wire claim & honestly a better option than Rodgers if he could have played out the season! (Rostered in 15.8% of leagues)
- Joshua Kelly LAC/Jerome Ford CLE – I couldn’t pick between the two backup backs. Joshua Kelly is proving again that he is a poacher inside the redzone with his two yard touchdown in the 4th Quarter and had 16 rushes for 91 yards. I don’t think he will be consistent with the yardage but he will get his touches inside the redzone! (Rostered in 11.4% of ESPN Leagues) Ford is a backup who we will see get more and more snaps after getting 15 carries for just 36 yards. The Browns love using their second back and once they gain more confidence with Ford, his value will go through the roof, and also a nice addition in case Chubb goes down with an injury (Rostered in 9.3% of Leagues)
