PITTSBURGH Week 1

With all of the hype of Kenny Pickett and a new look defense (especially in the Linebacker/DB Rooms) the Pittsburgh Steelers were sitting at a +2.5 coming into this affair. To be honest I was believing all of the Preseason hype, that left the room after the first two drives! Kenny Pickett was missing throw after throw & Matt Canada is already in Mid Season form with the play calling, this game was already in the L column for the Steelers in the 1st.

San Fran is a great team, but with the Steelers spending the 2nd most in the league on their Defense, I think the Cardinals could have put on a better fight. TJ Watt was really the only true bright spot on the Defensive side with 3 sacks & 2 forced fumbles, while our Secondary was no help.

Idiot of the Game

The Idiot of the Game has to go to a fan favorite of Matt Canada. After stalling all of the first half, the two minute offense looked great but he went right back to calling a terrible game in the 2nd Half. Not to mention keeping Dan Moore Jr. in the game after allowing 2 sacks, 2 QB hits, & a total of 9 Pressures. As your starting LT, this are not the numbers you like to see. Brodrick Jones has to be the starter for the rest of the year.

A tough week 1 loss for the Steelers & with key injuries to Johnson & Heyward, Matt Canada still having keys to the building, & not playing your two top picks this past draft, Week 2 against the Browns might be another tough outing for our boys.
